Mandel was elected as Ohio’s treasurer on November 2, 2010. He was sworn in as the 48th treasurer of the State of Ohio on January 10, 2011. Mandel was renominated without opposition in the May 6, 2014, Republican primary and won the general election on November 4. He served until January 2019.
