Chris Nybo is a Republican member of the Illinois State Senate, representing District 24. He was first appointed to the chamber in August 2014. Nybo is running for re-election in 2018. The primary election took place on March 20, 2018. The general election is being held on November 6, 2018.
Nybo served in the Illinois House of Representatives, representing District 41 from 2011 to 2013.
Nybo earned a B.S. from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. He is former alderman in the Chicago suburb of Elmhurst, where he served as vice chairman of the city council's Public Affairs & Safety Committee.
