Vermont Treasurer (2011-present)
Pearce was first appointed in January 2011 by Governor Peter Shumlin to replace Jeb Spaulding, who was appointed secretary of administration. Prior to her appointment to statewide office, she had served as deputy treasurer.
Pearce ran successfully for election to a full-term as state treasurer in the 2012 general election on November 6, 2012. She won re-election in 2014, 2016, and 2018.
