Schweitzer was born in Rochester, New York (Rush-Henrietta High School) and graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges with a B.A. in political science and minor in law in 2011. He was a member of the U.S. Army's 75th Ranger Regiment, and later worked in the intelligence community. After his military service, Schweitzer founded Schweitzer Laboratories where they developed software to combat political corruption and foreign interference in campaign finance. Additionally, Schweitzer has worked for multiple political campaigns and leaders including: President Obama, U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer, Congressman Joe Morelle, NY Governor Andrew Cuomo, the Monroe County Democratic Committee, and the New York State Democratic Party. As of 2023, he lives in New York City with his wife and two sons.
