Vanessa Lowery Brown is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing District 190. She was first elected to the chamber in 2008.
Lowery Brown, former state Rep. Harold James (D), former state Rep. Ronald Waters (D), former state Rep. Louise Williams Bishop (D) and former state Rep. Michelle Brownlee (D) were all charged with bribery and conflict of interest as part of a pay-to-play sting that was launched in 2010 by the state Attorney General's office.
Lowery Brown is accused of taking $4,000 from an undercover informant. She is still awaiting trial.
Lowery Brown was a candidate for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2004 but was not elected.
