Scott Lassiter was born in Raleigh, North Carolina. He earned a bachelor's degree from NC State University in 2010, a graduate degree from NC State University in 2015, and a Ph.D. from NC State University in 2022. His career experience includes working as an educator.
Lassiter founded the Lassiter Education Foundation, serving as president. He has also served as a board member for Kids Together Playground/Park, the president of the MacGregor Downs HOA, and the legislative chair for the Wake County Public Schools Principals/Assistant Principals Association.
