Scott Dawson was a Republican Party candidate for governor of Alabama in the 2018 election.
A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Dawson established the Scott Dawson Evangelistic Association in 1987, and was ordained in the Baptist church in 1993. Since that time, Dawson has worked as a preacher and evangelist, holding rallies and conferences and writing books on spreading Christianity.
Incumbent Kay Ivey (R) defeated Walt Maddox (D) in the general election for Governor of Alabama on November 6, 2018.
