- The K-12 education funding formula is over 30 years old and needs revision and updating. As an example, technology was not even a consideration when the formula was developed. Much has changed in 30+ years, but the basic formula has not. I would support increased K-12 funding through implementation of a an income tax on incomes in excess of $200,000 per year.
Puget Sound is in real need of preservation and clean-up. Toxics from population increases and runoff and development have added to the stresses the sound faces.
