Legislative Priorities

Please explain in a total of 75 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected. If they require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding.
- As a member of the House Utilities Committee, I plan to work towards getting additional projects in southeast Kansas that will benefit utility consumers and promote economic development. I will work hard to get Westar Energy to build a new coal fired electric plant in SE Kansas, More specifically at the KAAP in the 7th District. There is ample space at the KAAP for an ethanol and/or biodiesel plant which would be a good fit for SE Kansas.
