- First we must expand Medicaid bringing $3.8m a day of our federal tax dollars back to Tennessee. Helping many Tennesseans get affordable healthcare and closing the TennCare gaps, it also will give the state much more budgetary flexibility. That leads to making our education system the best we can, fully funding our schools and paying teachers at the same level as others with the same education. And we need to address the wage gap. In this good economy why aren?t wages going up? If you have to work 3 jobs to survive...something?s wrong. We can do better!
