Abortion & Reproductive

1. Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
- Pro-choice

2. Should abortion be legal when the pregnancy resulted from incest or rape?
- Yes

3. Do you support the prohibition of public funds for organizations that perform abortions?
- No

4. Other or expanded principles
- No Answer

Budget, Spending, & Tax

Budget Stabilization:

Indicate which proposals you support (if any) for balancing Michigan's budget.

1. Reducing state employee salaries AND/OR pensions?
- No

2. Instituting mandatory furloughs AND/OR layoffs for state employees?
- No

3. Reducing benefits for Medicaid recipients?
- No

4. An income tax increase on any tax bracket?
- No

5. Other or expanded principles
- Michigan will soon be collecting additional revenue due to the expansion of state sales tax being applied to internet sales. This combined with higher revenues generated from increasing personal incomes and other new taxes like the tax on medical pot will allow us to get rid of the tax on seniors and still have a balanced budget.

Campaign Finance & Government Reform

1. Do you support any limits on campaign contributions to state candidates?
- Yes

2. Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
- Yes

3. Do you support the use of an independent AND/OR bipartisan commission for redistricting?
- Yes

4. Do you support requiring a government-issued photo identification in order to vote at the polls?
- No

5. Other or expanded principles

- No

4. Do you support the enforcement of federal immigration laws by state and local police?
- Yes

5. Other or expanded principles
- State and Local Police should enforce all federal laws unless there are local/state laws that contradict with the Federal law. Our leaders at the federal level need to figure out a way to better regulate immigration so we can continue to be a nation that allows for immigration and protection for those who are not safe in their home countries.

Economic

1. Do you support state government spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
- Yes

2. Do you support lowering state taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?

2. Should background checks be required on gun sales between private citizens at gun shows?

5. Other or expanded principles
- I support one version of a universal background check law. It requires that the State Police provide a free background check for all sales, and the system is available at all hours for people to perform the background check. Legislative Priorities

In the following area, please explain in a total of 100 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected. If they require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding.
- 1) I would create more high wage jobs and attract companies that are in new technology areas that could help attract more high tech investments in Michigan. 2) I also want to get rid of the tax on pensions in Michigan. 3) I would pass legislation that I have introduced in the House of Reps this term that would force government to become more transparent and accountable to residents. This legislation will accomplish this by providing greater protections for public employees when the report fraud and government abuse that puts people in danger or wastes tax dollars.
