Patrice M. Arent is a Democratic member of the Utah House of Representatives, representing District 36. She was first elected to the chamber in 2010. Arent currently serves as Minority Caucus Manager, beginning in 2015.
Arent received her bachelor's from the University of Utah and her J.D. from Cornell Law School.
Arent is an attorney, part-time law professor at the University of Utah and small business manager. She has also worked as a division chief in the Utah Attorney General's office, Associate General Counsel to the Utah Legislature, and has practice in a private law firm. Before her election in 2010, she served in the Utah House of Representatives from 1997 to 2002 and in the Senate from 2003 to 2006.
