- With respect to (a), I am not familiar with the national Common Core State Standards initiative. While I am generally supportive of standards-setting, it's likely Massachusetts would merit a waiver of national standards due to its already-excellent statewide standards.
With respect to tenure, I do favor changing tenure. That said, I also believe, as implied above, that tenure does not stand in the way of effective teaching. I'm just not sure tenure facilitates effective teaching, either.
