Reason for Seeking Public Office:
Frustrated by the failures of politicians and career party insiders, Katie is running to serve our community as a powerful voice for smaller government, road improvements, job creation and education reform.
With nearly two decades of experience and success in negotiations and executive management, Katie has the knowledge to make our government more efficient and effective. Summerville deserves more than just filling a seat in Columbia. We deserve and need a State Representative who will shake things up, represent our values, and lead on the issues that matter to us.

- I have a plan to fund the wall WITHOUT using taxpayer funds. Under the current system, cars traveling from the US to Mexico are charged an entrance fee, yet we do not charge a reciprocal fee for cars entering the US. Based on historical data, charging a small fee to cars entering the US would cover the costs of building the wall.
