- We are looking at uncertain economic times. The state won't increase, and will struggle not to decrease, funding in all the areas described. If the revenues are not there we will be hard pressed to grow programs, increase funding, or lower property taxes. That said our roads and bridges are public safety issues and must be addressed. Our transportation system must evolve to meet increase in ridership and expand to offer service to more areas. Education is our gateway to the possibilites of the 21st Century. The health care system is broken and must be fixed on the federal level.
