- As a woman combat war veteran, I believe all women have to right to decide what is best for them. No questions asked.
Public funds ought to be used in the case of rape or incest, because victims need help. Furthermore, I would add- if the life of the woman is at stake.
As an Indigenous woman, the customs and norms of the non-native society/government should not determine what is moral, we have different faiths and beliefs. Ultimately, it comes down to the fundamental right to ones own body, privacy, and keeping church and state separate.

- Tribal nations and rural citizens are too often challenged due to having no street address. Some Indigenous citizens were born off the grid and have no birth certificates. Many tribal elders are challenged because they may be put into assisted living facilities hundreds of miles from home and lack the support to return home to vote. The same is true for those that move away temporarily to attend school, training, the military or work a distance from their voting center. Culturally sensitivity and language barriers are also in need of improvement and expansion beyond Spanish for Indigenous citizens.

In the following area, please explain in a total of 100 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected. If they require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding.
- Funding the Indian Education Department for a full staff to work with the 22 tribes in AZ. Currently there is only one person and that is not sufficient. I recommend looking at similar program offices in other states. Increase funding for the AZ Department of Veterans Services to provide more outreach and create collaboration with rural and tribal communities.Provide grant funding to the state's tribal community colleges to offset the cost of providing remedial education to students that graduate from AZ public schools. Increase Public school funding for school transportation in rural and tribal school districts.
