Herman Quirmbach

Herman C. Quirmbach (b. October 6, 1950) is a Democratic member of the Iowa State Senate, representing District 23. He was first elected to the chamber in 2002. He served on the Ames City Council from 1995 to 2003.
Quirmbach earned his B.A. from Harvard University in 1972 and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Princeton University in 1980 and 1983, respectively. His professional experience includes working as an Associate Professor of Economics at Iowa State University.
