Derrick J. Lente is a Democratic member of the New Mexico House of Representatives, representing District 65. He was first elected to the chamber in 2016.
Lente earned his B.A. in intercultural communications and English from the University of New Mexico and his J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law. His professional experience includes being a small businessman and working as a professor and visiting professor at several universities across the U.S.
