- I believe that we should continue to re-fund our classrooms with a further raise in GPT, closing the capital gains exemption, and a fair reassessment of income tax brackets that will shift the burden away from the working class. I want to increase healthcare funding available in the state by accepting our share of federal Medicaid dollars. Implementing smart on crime criminal justice reforms will pay for themselves by reducing the burden on our state's correction agencies and by offering long-term addiction treatment at a lower cost than incarceration.
